Most of you know I'm a bit of a fan of Hot Rod DragWeek, the competition where guys from Hot Rod Magazine run five drag racing events for street cars, at four different tracks, some 1000 miles apart. It's been going since 2005, and the theory is that if you can make a fast lap at each of these tracks, and drive the 1000 miles between them without putting the car on a trailer, changing the engine, or having any help outside of the small trailer you're allowed to tow with the (race) car, then you can call your car a street car.

While the first event was in 2005, it undoubtedly has it's genesis in this event, the 1992 Hot Rod Magazine Fastest Street Car Shootout.

It's not the whole video, but it's an awesome 10 minutes of highlights and totally worth watching if you like fast street cars.

Cheers to the guys at BangShift.com for posting so I could steal their link!
